Question 1

What is Devpool?

Accepted Answer

Devpool is an all-in-one developer economy and growth platform. One unified profile connects you to technical blogs, digital tool marketplace, verified tech jobs, 1:1 engineering mentorship, hackathons, and our native ResCoin token economy.

Question 2

Is Devpool free to use?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Signing up, reading blogs, joining community events, and exploring the marketplace are 100% free. We charge a minimal 10% platform fee on seller digital marketplace purchases and 0% on community open-source starter repos.

Question 3

What is ResCoin and how do I earn it?

Accepted Answer

ResCoin (RC) is the in-platform reward currency. You earn ResCoins through daily check-in streaks (+15 to +50 RC), publishing verified technical blogs (+100 RC), referring developer peers (+100 RC), and completing mentorship milestones. You can spend ResCoins on developer merchandise, swags, mock interview credits, or convert eligible balances to cash withdrawals.

Question 4

How do cash withdrawals and Razorpay payouts work?

Accepted Answer

Sellers and mentors can request payouts directly from their dashboard. We support automated bank transfers (NEFT/IMPS) and UPI across India, and Stripe Connect for international creators. Payouts are processed on a net-7 schedule with full invoices generated automatically.

Question 5

Can I sell merchandise and developer swags on Devpool?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! You can list developer hoodies, t-shirts, caps, stickers, and desk accessories. Sellers receive 95% of every sale, order management, and automated shipping support.

Question 6

How does shipping work for merchandise purchases?

Accepted Answer

Orders are fulfilled and dispatched via reliable courier partners with real-time tracking IDs provided directly in your user dashboard.

Question 7

How does 1:1 engineering mentorship work?

Accepted Answer

You can browse verified mentors by tech stack (Frontend, Distributed Systems, ML/AI, DevOps). Book 30-min or 60-min slots with integrated Google Meet / Zoom links, submit resume or code links beforehand, and receive tailored career advice and mock interview evaluations.

Question 8

How do I become a verified Devpool Mentor?

Accepted Answer

Head to your User Dashboard > Become > Mentor and submit your LinkedIn profile, proof of engineering experience (usually 2+ years), and preferred session topics. Once vetted by our team (typically within 48 hours), you set your own hourly rates or offer free slots for students.

Question 9

How do I register for hackathons and tech meetups?

Accepted Answer

Browse our Events explorer for online webinars, physical city meetups, and national hackathons like Apertre. Clicking register generates a digital ticket pass stored in your dashboard with calendar reminders and Discord team-matching channels.

Question 10

How do companies hire developers through Devpool?

Accepted Answer

Recruiters can post full-time roles, contracts, and internships on our Opportunities board. Instead of raw PDF resumes, candidates submit their Devpool Profile showcasing verified GitHub repositories, streak activity, published blogs, and peer endorsements.
